Collection and Use of Information
Information Collected or Received from You
We may collect the following information from you (collectively “Collected Information”):
Account Information: If you register with us and create an account (the “Account”), we’ll collect certain information that can be used to identify an individual, such as your full name and email address (such personally identifiable information, “PII”). We may also collect your PII and any other information you provide when you contact us using the online form on our Site.
Location Information: When you use our App, we may collect and store information about your location by converting your IP address into a rough geo-location or by accessing your mobile device’s GPS coordinates or coarse location if you enable location services on your device. We may use location information to improve and personalize our Services for you.
Information for Flight Planning You Provide to Us: We will collect any information you provide to us when using our Services. This information may include data that is needed to prepare an aerial inspection such as the geolocation or address of the area or structure you want inspectioned, and information to configure and manage an aerial inspection such as shape files, xml data, etc. (collectively, “Inspection Information”). In addition, we will collect any additional information that you choose to provide to us. For example, though we do not require it, if you choose to name a job with any of your customers’ PII, we will collect that information, so please use discretion when you provide information to us.
Information Captured in Inspections: When you use our Services, the drones used to provide the Services will capture information during flight and other information that is related to the operation of the system such as digital images, sensor data, telemetry data, geolocation information, diagnostic information, performance information, flight and application logs, vehicle telematics, and information about the usage of our software (collectively, “Flight Data”). We will also collect any annotations or comments that you might add to any Flight Data. For example, if you manually add a note or comment to a specific image captured by the drone, based on your observations about that image, we will collect such annotations. All of this data may be uploaded to our system to provide and improve our Services.
Information Collected from Other Sources: We will also collect any transaction or Services related information, including PII, you submit to sources other than our Site, such as our third-party services providers like Salesforce or PitchGauge, in order to manage and provide better Services to you.
Information Related to the Use of the Services: Our servers automatically record certain information about how a person uses our Services (we refer to this information as “Log Data”), including both Account holders and non-Account holders (either, a “User”). Log Data may include information such as a User’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, operating system, the web page that a User was visiting before accessing our Services, the pages or features of our Services to which a User browsed and the time spent on those pages or features, search terms, the links on our Services that a User clicked on and other statistics. We use Log Data to administer the Services and we analyze (and may engage third parties to analyze) Log Data to improve, customize and enhance our Services by expanding their features and functionality and tailoring them to our Users’ needs and preferences. We may use a person’s IP address to generate aggregate, non-identifying information about how our Services are used.
Information Sent by Your Mobile Device: We collect certain information that your mobile or other device sends when you use our Services, like a device identifier, user settings and the operating system of your device, as well as information about your use of our Services.
Information Collected Using Cookies and other Web Technologies: Like many website owners and operators, we use automated data collection tools such as Cookies and Web Beacons to collect certain information.
“Web Beacons” (also known as Web bugs, pixel tags or clear GIFs) are tiny graphics with a unique identifier that may be included on our Services for several purposes, including to deliver or communicate with Cookies, to track and measure the performance of our Services, to monitor how many visitors view our Services, and to monitor the effectiveness of our advertising. Unlike Cookies, which are stored on the user’s device, Web Beacons are typically embedded invisibly on web pages (or in an email).
